How to read the results

Monthly cost is what the carrier charges every month for the coverage, term length, and health class you selected. Health tier describes which underwriting category the quoted rate assumes; the carrier decides the real category after underwriting. Exam status indicates whether the carrier will require an exam, might require one, or definitely won't need one. Financial rating shows the carrier's stability grade from A.M. Best.
