Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?
No. To get a rate comparison, the quote tool needs gender, when you were born, your health in plain language, tobacco use, the coverage amount, and the term. These six answers work to generate rates. Your name, address, and full health history only become necessary if you decide to apply.
Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?
The quotes show rates that each carrier provides for the health category you picked. After you apply, the carrier's underwriting process may confirm, upgrade, or shift your category, which changes the final cost. These quotes are estimates alone and are not a guarantee of any specific premium or an insurance offer.
What happens when I click Apply?
You'll continue into the carriers' application portal that's already filled with your answers. You get the option to pause and come back, and you'll sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129), processes your application.
Will I need a medical exam?
It hinges on the insurer, the coverage limit, and your specific situation. Carriers that provide immediate approvals can make a decision the same day for eligible applicants. Each rate on this page states if an exam is needed, might be needed, or is not needed.
Is a longer term better?
Your term should protect the years when losing your income would genuinely hurt your household: while a home loan is outstanding, while your kids are at home, while a business owes money. Longer terms have higher monthly payments but lock in your rate for a longer stretch. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year choices at the same time.
Does this site sell my information?
No. The quote tool does not request contact details, your data is not sold or shared with outside parties, and measurement is done without cookies. The privacy page lists precisely what gets recorded and by whom.
